Amelia’s Thursday Thoughts: November 13th, 2008

Wednesday, November 12th, 2008

Hey! I had the best four days while with my cousin Lena. I missed my parents of course, but wow, is it fun to be with someone my size all day long and all night. It was a blast! We played in the fall leaves, we played with bubbles, we had a bath together and chased each other around..
My mom will update with pictures from my stay and their trip once they have more time this weekend.
Hope everyone else is doing well,
Amelia

Amelia’s Thursday Thoughts: November 6, 2008

Thursday, November 6th, 2008

Hey everybody!  Hope you are having a good week.  My mom is busy planning for a vacation so I get to go stay with my cousin Lena this weekend.  I can’t wait, we are going to have so much fun.  Sure, I’ll miss mom & dad – but I will have Nonni wrapped around my finger.

I had my 15 month appointment with two shots this week – that wasn’t fun at all – but it wasn’t too bad.  Just made me tired afterwards.  And what’s up with the time change – so not fair!  I was sleeping well and then boom, they change times.  Now I keep trying to wake up early and make everyone grumpy.

I’m walking really well now, barely even resort to crawling anymore.  Its so much easier to get everywhere – now I know why everyone else was walking already.  My favorite is to go outside and walk away from mom & dad… I just go and go and go.  I really enjoyed playing outside with my friend Meredith the other night.

So apparently we have a new President?  I don’t know what that means.  But my mom was saying he’ll be the first one I probably remember when I grow up which is interesting to think about.

Hope everyone has a good weekend!  Lena and I will try not to be too much trouble.

15 month appointment update…

Amelia weighs 24 lbs, she’s 29 1/2 inches tall and has a big head. :)

25th percentile height, 65th on weight and like 90th on head.  A little out of proportion, but so freakin’ cute.

Don’t forget to go out and vote today!

Video, Video and More Video

Sunday, November 2nd, 2008

Okay finally trying to put up some video to catch up… which means lots and lots of video clips.  I edit down the quality so they can play decently on the web – but you should be able to see enough video to provide you with a laugh.

We have video of Amelia’s walking – starting at the pumpkin patch when she was so determined to stand and walk.  We have a cute video from the other morning which Amelia just made me laugh.  We have video of Amelia with her cousin Lena when I was gone for the weekend.  There is a video montage of the last couple weeks of Amelia and her friends.  Don’t forgot to check out her friend Graham dancing with his dad to Thriller.  Lastly, there is a short little video of Amelia trick or treating in style in her pink car.

Enjoy!

Go Dawgs!

Saturday, November 1st, 2008

Well, the game today didn’t go as we hoped – but Amelia sure makes a cute UGA cheerleader! Amelia had her good friends Meredith and Graham over during the 2nd half of the game – to distract from the poor performance. They had a great time – especially when the three of them were hanging out on the treadmill. Who knew a treadmill could be so much fun. Its hard to tell from the pictures – but what was so adorable is how they were cracking each other up.

One of these days I promise to get to the video clips but for now, enjoy a bunch of photos.

Halloween 2008

Saturday, November 1st, 2008

Regular readers of this blog might remember this photo from last year - five of the neighborhood kids, all aged within a month of each other, hanging out on the couch at the party.

Well this is what happens now when you try and capture them now that they can walk…

All five kiddies are represented again… Amelia missed out on the animal theme – oh well, she made an adorable Minnie Mouse!

Earlier in the day, daycare held a parade and had a juggler for Halloween.  You’ll notice her teachers holding her – she was in a ‘hold me’ mood – probably because it was snack time.  She loves her two primary teachers so much, so at least they were allowed to hold her in addition to myself.

And finally here is the Halloween dress we got her for the season – its pretty darn cute, but I think that’s because Amelia is so darn cute!  I’m not partial… not too much anyway.

Hope everyone had a Happy Halloween!

Fall Festival Fun

Saturday, November 1st, 2008

Last week Amelia’s school had a fall festival with a petting zoo…. it was late in the day so Amelia was ready to go home, and so it wasn’t quite the magical experience I expected.

Her friend Meredith chased after the animals no problem – here is Amelia running away saying she wanted me to hold her instead.

The bunnies were a big hit with all the kids though – so soft and cuddly.

Here is Amelia hanging out with Graham who got his nose painted…

It was fun, next time we know to be prepared with more snacks and maybe try earlier in the day.
