Amelia Takes On the World

Amelia wasn’t due until August 11, 2007 - however, due to a timely ultrasound, we found out she needed to come a bit earlier.  We went to the hospital on July 23rd, not sure what to expect.  We thought we’d be able to go about it just with some induction aid, but the next night on July 24th Amelia was born by c-section at 8:15 pm.  I think the hardest part is that right after the c-section, I got to see Amelia for about a second before they whisked her away with Chris into another room.  Luckily it didn’t take to long to wheel me over there as well and I was so happy to have my baby girl and my dear husband.  Enjoy these pictures of anticipation and arrival.
