Amelia Takes On the World

Well we do have a pretty sick baby… she’s getting much better though so thanks for all the well wishes.  We don’t know for sure what it is – some sort of colitis (infection in the colon).  But she’s feverless today and seems to be in good spirits as long as you don’t touch the diaper.  (Never seen such a rash!) 

She has been using signs pretty well this whole time (though she’s combined more and hurt into one sign so that’s a little confusing for us).  She has signed nap – which is very adorable – and she uses a sign for ‘wash hands’ that I guess they learned at daycare.  She is saying something that resembles ‘thank you’ – and definitely saying it at a time that would be appropriate.  So that part of this time with her has been fun. 

I’m sad she had to miss her music class again – we’ve been playing the cd for her and she loves the music.  Maybe we can do a make up so she can go twice next week!
