Happy Labor Day Weekend!
I hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable labor day weekend - I know a few of you were in the path of Gustav so I hope you stayed out of the way and dry.
We headed to St. Augustine and the grandparents for the weekend - Amelia had a great time. SHe loves the constant entertaining that goes on and was quite the ham. At dinner one night she copied everything they wanted her to do - touch her nose, blow kisses, say how tall she is - all of these things she DOES NOT do for us, haha. Aunt Judy and Uncle Bob Dyar were there as well - and also remarked how much Amelia has the Dyar family genes. Her sneezes, her expressions, her hair - Dyar through and through.
We love being near the water in St. Augustine, so we took the time to have lunch near some boats - quite enjoyable and I love a fried grouper sandwich - yum. We also went to the pool - their neighborhood is great with a kid-pool including a slide not far from the adult pool and baby pool. Apparently there is even free babysitting for residents if you want to workout or swim alone. While we didn’t use that, we did use grandparent babysitting while Chris and I enjoyed touring art galleries in St. Augustine and drinking some sangria while people wathcing.
All in all a nice weekend - just wish there was a way to get there faster than a 6-hour drive.
Amelia seems to be a little under the weather today so we are about to head to the doctor - let’s hope its just a minor cold and she’ll be all better with some good sleep.
